We came across this fallen tree in Berkhampstead on our route home during the recent storms. We’d had a hard day clearing up storm damage at various locations in Buckinghamshire, yet here were were, fully kitted out, so it would have been rude not to lend a hand!
As it was an emergency job and the road was already half blocked, we made do with the signage we had with us and set to work clearing the road as quickly as possible. Our truck-mounted crane made short work of this. After setting up the outriggers and making sure there were no pedestrians or other hazards, it was just a case of grabbing the limbs with the crane and moving them into the roadside woodland for the landowner to deal with at their leisure.
Good deed for the day done!
