How We Work on Trees in Ascot

Ascot holds some of the finest mature trees in Berkshire, and looking after them properly takes qualified hands. We are a family run team of NPTC qualified arborists working across Ascot, Sunninghill, Sunningdale and the surrounding villages. From a single overgrown hedge to a full estate management programme, we carry out the work safely and leave the site clean. Call us on 01494 623191 to arrange a free site visit.

Named Teams

The same arborists attend your property from the quote through to completion, and you will know who is coming before they arrive.

Written Quotes

Every job is priced in writing after a site visit, and the figure we quote is the figure you pay.

Protected Tree Checks

We confirm whether your tree carries a preservation order or sits within a conservation area before any cutting begins.

Clean Finish

Timber, brash and chippings are cleared on the day and recycled responsibly, or left on site as firewood if you would rather keep them.

Qualified Arborists Covering Ascot and Sunningdale

Every job we take on in Ascot is carried out to British Standard BS3998 by arborists holding NPTC qualifications. We are CHAS accredited, Constructionline registered and insured up to £10 million, and all of our staff are DBS checked for work on school and estate grounds. We assess each tree in person before pricing anything, so you know exactly what is being done and why.

FAQs

Do I need permission before cutting a tree in Ascot?

Many trees in and around Ascot are covered by a preservation order or sit within a conservation area, which means the council has to be notified before work begins. We check the status of your tree during the site visit and can submit the application for you. Carrying out work without consent can lead to fines of up to £20,000.

We hold capacity in the diary for emergency callouts and aim to reach urgent jobs in Ascot the same day when a tree is blocking access or resting against a building. Where the situation is not immediately dangerous, we will usually be with you within 48 hours.

Everything is cleared from site on the day unless you tell us otherwise. Timber is recycled as firewood and brash is chipped for mulch. A good number of our Ascot customers ask us to leave the cordwood stacked for their own log burner, which we are happy to do at no extra cost.

Late autumn and winter suit most species, as the tree is dormant and there is less risk of disease entering the cuts. Deadwood removal and crown thinning can be carried out at any point in the year. Hedge cutting is restricted during the nesting season between March and August, so we check for active nests first.

Yes. We supply written risk assessments and method statements before any commercial or institutional job starts, along with our insurance and accreditation documents. Our teams are used to working on occupied sites across Ascot with minimal disruption to the working day.
